    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) – Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university

    • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

    • Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.)

    • Experience in the design and detailing of steel, wood, concrete and masonry structures

    • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

    • Proficiency with structural design software such as RAM Structural Systems, Enercalc, STAADPro, etc.

    • Ability to develop specifications for projects and review shop drawings

    • Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff

    • Provide project specific technical information to the PM for project specs

    • Visit project sites to review conditions as appropriate

    • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients

    • Serve as a representative of the company at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews to assigned projects

  • Seeking full time Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer with 5+ years experience.

    Work collaboratively with our team of project managers, engineers, and designers to create high quality designs for a variety of clients/projects. Able to complete design of plumbing and fire protection systems for interior and exterior projects with little oversite from Project Manager. Ability to create plans, schematics, equipment selection, calculations, systems narratives and specifications, system design and layout, field investigation and construction administration. We are looking for someone that can work with the design team, comply with industry standards, and provide support for the senior engineering staff and project managers.

    QUALIFICAITONS

    • 5-10 years Plumbing/Fire Protection engineering experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • Must have strong competency in AutoCAD/Revit (willing to take competency test)

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office

    • Ability to perform site visits and document conditions through measurements and photographs

    • Strong understanding of local building codes and standards such as International Plumbing Code, National Fuel Gas Code and NFPA

    Position Overview

    Engineering Interns work collaboratively with our team of project managers, engineers, and architectural designers to create high-quality designs across a wide variety of projects. This role assists in developing practical and innovative engineering design solutions while gaining hands-on exposure to the full consulting engineering process.

    Successful candidates are creative problem-solvers with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to client service. We are seeking motivated students eager to apply and advance their engineering skills in a professional environment.

    LLI Engineering interns participate in all facets of consulting engineering, including field surveys of existing conditions, drafting, design, engineering calculations, construction validation, and administrative support (Filing, printing, scanning, etc.). We are small enough for you to gain broad experience and large enough to offer involvement in diverse and meaningful projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in engineering design and documentation for a variety of projects

    • Perform field surveys and document existing site conditions

    • Support drafting and design efforts using industry-standard software

    • Work directly with architects and engineers to produce finished drawings and specifications

    • Participate in construction validation and general project support tasks

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited program

    • Working experience with Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Revit preferred

    • Actively involved in campus activities and/or engineering clubs preferred

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
